About Mary

Mary Dubé-Matanda is an associate lawyer of LNL Lawyers. Mary has been with the firm since January 2016.

After obtaining her law degree in 1994 and receiving her Legal Practice Certificate in 1996, Mary began working for prominent multinational insurance company, Royal & Sun Alliance in their Legal Expenses division. In 2002, Mary immigrated from the UK to Canada, where she continued to work for Royal & Sun Alliance in their Personal Injury Claims department. When Royal & Sun Alliance closed its operation in Ottawa, Mary continued on to the Personal Injury department of The Personal Insurance Company (Desjardins Group). During this time, Mary attended law school at the University of Ottawa, where she received accreditation from National Committee on Accreditation, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010.

Mary's practice focuses on Personal Injury litigation, as well as Wills & Estates. In her Personal Injury practice, Mary has represented clients in catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims arising from:

  - Motor Vehicle Accidents
  - Products Liability Accidents
  - Slip and Fall Accidents
  - Animal Liability Claims, etc.

Mary's past work experience has given her a unique insight into the operations and goals of insurance companies, thereby helping her to represent her injured clients effectively and compassionately. Mary has represented clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

In her Wills & Estates practice, Mary guides her clients through:

  - Will preparation and estate planning
  - Preparation of Powers of Attorney
  - Guardianship applications
  - Estate administration
  - Estate litigation, etc.

Mary keeps herself updated on developing medical and legal issues pertaining to her areas of practice. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, travelling, and hiking.
